Peace Gorilla

Come high five Peace Gorilla at Kingsland Wildflowers at Broadway Stages!

Peace Gorilla, the life-size bronze sculpture created by Greenpoint sculptor and painter Noa Bornstein is currently installed creekside—on the bulkhead, just past the Greenpoint Earth Mural. Peace Gorilla welcomes your touch as she stands on a base imprinted with the word ‘friend’ in 90 languages. A tactile QR code on a the base leads to a short creation story of the sculpture voiced by the artist and includes a description for blind and visually impaired people. Peace Gorilla’s previous installations were at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, across from the UN and at Newtown Barge Park, aka, Greenpoint Landing. The gorilla can be visited, along with Kingsland’s Green-roof, M-F from 10-5. Click on “Visit” to let the team know when you would like to come.
